Question:

Hi I have applied for a single entry visa to cover the one night I am staying in Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh) before flying onto Siem Reap the next day with Vietnam Airlines. On the return a week later we are just in transit at Ho Chi Minh airport for 7 hours- will we be able to leave the airport or not ? Was also considering taking a bus back from Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh instead of the flight , but would that also mean we need a multiple Visa to allow us the land border crossing ?

Dear Liz,

Be kindly advised that you should apply for 1 month multiple entry visa if you would like to leave Ho Chi Minh airport for second entry. It is also highly recommend even when you are planning to return Vietnam by bus from Phnom Penh instead of flight.
